On June 29, 2022, at the Oil Services Industrial Park in Soài Rạp, Kiểng Phước commune, Gò Công Đông district, Tiền Giang province, PetroVietnam Steel Pipe Joint Stock Company(PVPIPE) successfully organized the 2022 annual general meeting of shareholders.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Do Dong Nguyen, Mr. Truong Hong Son, and Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Ngoc - Members of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Gas Corporation - JSC; Mr. Huynh Quang Hai - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Gas Corporation - JSC. On the side of PVPIPE, there were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company; Mr. Tran Dang Thuyet - Member of the Board of Directors, Director of the Company; the members of the Board of Directors, Representatives of PV GAS's capital in PVPIPE, Supervisors, Executive Board, Heads of Departments / Factories.
According to the Business Production Report, in 2021 PV PIPE suffered heavily from the Covid-19 pandemic. During the year, PV PIPE supplied pipes for the Thị Vải LNG project with a volume of 1,082 tons and signed a contract for processing and producing pipes for the SHWE project with 1,363 tons, however, due to the pandemic, this project was delayed. The total production output in 2021 was 1,823.92 tons of steel pipes, with a revenue of 34.66 billion dong; achieving 63% of the plan.
In the first six months of 2022, PV PIPE completed production of steel pipes for SHWE 3 projects with a volume of about 1,300 tons, Gallaf 3 project with 600 tons for PTSC M&C customers, and other structural steel pipe orders. In the first 6 months, PV PIPE achieved 97% of the planned output. In addition, PV PIPE is actively promoting its products in the domestic and international markets and is developing a plan to expand its product range to broaden the market for structural pipes, water pipes, piles, and wind power cables... to meet market demand.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Huynh Quang Hai - Deputy General Director of the Corporation on behalf of the Leadership of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation - JSC encouraged, shared difficulties in the production and business activities of PVPIPE due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2021. To complete the production and business plan in 2022 as the Company has mentioned in the report; The Deputy General Director proposed PVPIPE to consider researching the possibility of expanding product lines to meet market demand for foundation tube, wind power structure tube, water pipes, etc., while waiting for major projects to be implemented; and at the same time, give solutions on personnel management, cost management, etc., to win bids for projects in the Oil and Gas industry such as Block B - O Mon....
At the General Meeting, the shareholders also passed a resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Dang Thuyet from the position of a Member of the Board of Directors and to relieve Ms. Dang Thi Hong Yen from the position of Auditor. The shareholders elected Mr. Le Hong Hai as a Member of the Board of Directors, re-elected Mr. Nguyen Cong Luan and Mr. Nguyen Quyet Thang as Members of the Board of Directors, and elected Mr. Dao Minh Son as the Company's Auditor...
After more than 2 hours of work, PVPIPE has completed all the agenda items of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2022, fully complying and meeting all the requirements for a joint-stock company. 100% of shareholders have approved the resolutions of the General Meeting.
