A contract for the manufacturing of 36,179 tons of steel pipes for the project has been signed between PTSC and PV PIPE, with completion expected within 8 months.
The Block B – O Mon gas pipeline project is a crucial link in the gas-electricity value chain, contributing to the provision of stable and sustainable energy for the Mekong Delta region. The project is expected to support the production of approximately 3,000 MW of electricity in O Mon - Can Tho, meeting the growing energy demand of the country.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – General Director of SWPOC, emphasized the strategic role of the project in providing gas to the region and ensuring national energy goals by 2030. He praised PV PIPE’s thorough preparations and expressed hopes for the quality and production schedule of the first batches of steel pipes, as well as the close coordination among industry units.
Mr. Tran Hoai Nam – Deputy General Director of PTSC, expressed confidence in PV PIPE's capabilities, emphasizing that this collaboration will open up opportunities for future projects in the gas pipeline sector and the oil and gas value chain.
On behalf of PV PIPE, Mr. Le Hong Hai – Company Director, shared: “PV PIPE was established in 2010 and completed the construction of the factory by the end of 2012 to serve major oil and gas projects, including the Block B project.
