On December 12, 2018, at the company's headquarters, Soai Rap Oil Services Industrial Zone, Tien Giang province, PV PIPE Company successfully organized the 2018 Labor Conference.
Attending and directing the Conference towards PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) are Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khang, Deputy General Director of the Corporation, Party Secretary of the Corporation, Mr. Phan Quoc Nghia - Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Mr. Do Dong Nguyen - Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Mau Dung - Deputy General Director of the Corporation along with representatives from the Party Committee Office, the Supervisory Board, specialized departments, Trade Union, Youth Union, affiliated units, and subsidiaries of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation.
At the conference, Mr. Tran Dang Thuyet - Director of the Company approved the report summarizing the production and business activities of 2018 and the orientations, tasks, and plans for 2019 of PV PIPE, at the same time analyzing the difficulties and presenting recommendations, proposals to the Company's leadership.
The report indicates that in 2018, the company encountered difficulties in achieving the set plans as oil and gas projects continued to halt and expand progress. However, it is encouraging to note that PV PIPE has made efforts to expand foreign markets and gradually affirm its brand reputation. 2018 marked a significant turning point as PV PIPE signed 02 export contracts for 700 tons of API steel pipes to the US market and is currently negotiating an additional export contract for 500 tons of pipes to this market. In 2018, PVPIPE also successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Husteel Company, one of the largest electric resistant welded steel pipe manufacturers in South Korea, promising to bring many opportunities for positive cooperation in the future. Mr. Tran Dang Thuyet emphasized that 2019 will bring even more brilliance to the Company as the Nam Con Son 2 - Phase 2 project will officially commence, ensuring job security for all employees.
Also at the conference, Mr. Thieu Van Tam - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Company reported on the implementation of collective labor agreements, labor regulations, occupational safety, and hygiene. The implementation of democratic regulations, dialogue in the enterprise, and the results of resolving suggestions from the collective labor after dialogues;
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Mau Dung - Deputy General Director of PV GAS, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of PV PIPE in implementing the business production plan of 2018. He hopes that the leadership and all employees of PV PIPE will continue to promote the achievements of 2018, overcome all difficulties and challenges, strive to complete the tasks and plans set for 2019.
On behalf of the board of directors, Mr. Vu Ngoc Khuong has accepted the guidance and expressed gratitude for the attention and careful guidance of PV GAS leadership.
During the conference, the opinions and suggestions of the workers were raised by the delegates and fully answered by the Representative of the Board of Directors. The conference proceeded with the election of representatives of the workers to participate in the Company's Dialogue Team.
After a serious, diligent, and democratic working session with a high sense of responsibility, the Labor Conference summarized the production and business activities of PV PIPE in 2018 and successfully deployed the plan for 2019. Delegates unanimously passed the resolution of the Conference and showed determination to strive together with all employees of the Company to successfully implement the 2019 plan.
The conference also approved the Resolution with the consensus and high agreement of the delegates attending.
