PV GAS achieved the National Brand Title in 2020

Among the 124 enterprises with products achieving the National Brand status in 2020 recently announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, PVN has 5 units recognized in this round, including: PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation, Petroleum Vietnam Asset Management and Exploitation Corporation (PSA- PETROSETCO), PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), and Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC).

The National Brand Program (THQG) is a unique, long-term trade promotion program initiated by the Government to build and develop the national brand through product branding. Participation in the program is a process for companies to comprehensively assess all activities, production and business results, and brand building strategies through the program's criteria system; thereby encouraging companies to share and pursue the core values of the program, which are "Quality - Innovation, Creativity - Pioneering capability".

Through nearly 17 years of formation and development, the National Brand Program of Vietnam has achieved positive results, attracting special attention and establishing credibility with businesses, management agencies, as well as consumers at home and abroad; honoring typical product brands, representative enterprises for the National Brand of Vietnam, contributing to affirming Vietnam as a country with quality goods and services and high competitiveness in the international market.

Despite the difficult situation due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 7th National Brand Selection 2020 still attracted the participation of over 1,000 enterprises nationwide. The registration dossiers for selection are evaluated and appraised according to the criteria specified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. At the same time, the implementation of social responsibilities by the enterprises participating in the Program is also confirmed through functional agencies such as the General Department of Taxation (Ministry of Finance), the General Department of Customs (Ministry of Finance), the General Department of Environment (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Departments of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam Social Insurance, and Credit Information Center (State Bank).

In October, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recognized 124 businesses with a total of 283 products meeting the National Brand of Vietnam 2020. Therefore, compared to 2018, this year the whole country has an additional 27 businesses with products meeting the National Brand of Vietnam. This is evidence of the attraction and influence of the program on businesses in promoting the import and export of goods and services as well as developing the domestic market.
