Recently, the PV PIPE Youth Union represented the Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) in accompanying doctors from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, the Provincial General Hospital of Tien Giang, and Agribank - Ly Thuong Kiet Branch to organize a medical examination program, provide medication, donate medical equipment, and award scholarships to diligent poor students in Gò Công Đông district, Tien Giang province.
The most important highlight of the program is when the doctors from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, visited and examined 500 poor patients with difficult circumstances from 3 communes: Tang Hoa, Tan Thanh, Tan Dien, and prescribed free medications. At the same time, the team also gave each person who came for medical examination a gift including: sugar, milk, and some essential items.
The total budget for medical examination, treatment, prescription medication, donation of medical equipment, gifts for poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and awarding scholarships to poor but studious students is over 450 million VND, supported by participating units.
The program aims to help, share some of the medical examination and treatment costs for the families in difficult circumstances in Gò Công Đông district, Tiền Giang province. This is also a meaningful community program conducted by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with many units, including PV GAS, effectively implemented for many years in many still difficult areas across the country.
