As one of the young member units and facing many challenges in the first journey, Petrovietnam Steel Pipe Joint Stock Company (PV GAS PIPE) always strives to overcome difficulties. In particular, social security programs, local support, and helping disadvantaged families are regularly implemented by PV GAS PIPE, with practical actions and spreading community sentiment.
PV GAS PIPE Golden Heart Club (CLB) is a charity organization formed and developed since 2015, on the basis of gathering PV GAS PIPE youth union members who are enthusiastic in the social work movement, carrying out volunteer activities to visit and help families in extremely difficult circumstances, orphans, lonely elderly people, and poor patients, in order to share both materially and spiritually with those in need. missed, contributing to building a better and better community life.
After nearly 10 years of continuous operation, the PV GAS PIPE Golden Heart Club currently gathers all PV GAS PIPE employees, supported by the Board of Directors and the Trade Union; At the same time, it received "support" from units within PV GAS as well as other benefactors. The total amount of money the Club has received to organize social security content is over 300 million VND. The club visited 87 families in difficult circumstances in the area during the Lunar New Year, cooked and distributed 600 meals at Go Cong General Hospital, repaired houses for disadvantaged families with a total amount of nearly 55 million VND... In particular, the "0 VND Fairs" organized by the Club to donate clothes to people in need are an outstanding event, loved and reminded by Tien Giang people with gratitude. The support content is somewhat modest, but in reality it always brings great joy and spread, sharing difficulties in the community.
During the COVID - 19 pandemic, the club was forced to stop operations because of insufficient funding and to limit large gatherings. In 2024, with the agreement of PV GAS PIPE leaders, the Women's Committee combined with the Youth Union and PV PIPE Golden Heart Club are determined to "restart" the club's annual program, and at the same time expand the call for generous groups/individuals to participate in the "Giap Thin 2024 Spring of Love Program" to give gifts to disadvantaged households in Go Cong town, Vam Lang town and Kieng Phuoc commune - Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province.
The program's plan sets a goal of calling for 120 gifts, equivalent to an amount of about 84 million VND, to support Tet holidays for families and people facing many difficulties. At the same time, the program also continues to call for support to organize a "0 VND Fair", synthesizing used clothes, toys... to give to people of many ages, from children to the elderly.
Unexpectedly, the program received enthusiastic support from units/individuals in Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), including the grassroots unions of the Operating Agency, Gas Project Management Company, Gas Service Company; PV GAS Youth Union, PV GAS Trade Union Women's Committee... and the enthusiastic support of PV GAS PIPE employees and some benefactors. The total amount of donations and support exceeded expectations, reaching nearly 150 million VND. The amount of clothes and toys sent to Tien Giang has never been so large: more than 30 large packages, including a lot of good, beautiful, multi-purpose clothes for many ages and children's toys.
From the source of support, the Organizing Committee of "Giap Thin 2024 Spring Love Program" decided to organize cooking banh chung, with the desire to send love to people and send the typical flavors of traditional Tet to every home. This is a very bold decision of the PV GAS PIPE Women's Committee because a pot of cakes is not always easy to make, it takes a lot of determination and effort. To get beautiful and delicious green banh chung, women had to research and order precious sources of sticky rice, beans, dong leaves, laksa leaves... that met standards; Even shipments to Tien Giang from as far away as Bac Ha, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, connecting via Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh. The suspense and anxiety lasted until the last day, when the dong leaf shipment had problems, and it took until 10:00 a.m. the night before the cake to be delivered to Tien Giang. The army of people washing leaves and preparing spent many hours gathering and deployed very diligently late at night so that the wrapping of beautiful round cakes would not be late.
In the context that the entire Company only had 3 people who knew how to make banh chung, the Organizing Committee was "quick-minded" and called for help from the Border Guard Station of Kieng Phuoc commune and the Women's Union of Vam Lang commune. The goal of more than 200 cakes was too much, so training on wrapping banh chung took place on site; Those who know how to teach enthusiastically, those who do not know volunteer to study enthusiastically. The first time I experienced it, I was nervous and worried, but then the combined strength of the collective created hundreds of square, fresh cakes, in a happy atmosphere, encouraging each other, all for a beautiful product honoring Vietnamese Tet.
And so, the "Giap Thin 2024 Spring Love Program" took place well in Tien Giang, as the Tet season is approaching. PV GAS PIPE invites people who still have difficulties to come and exchange at 2 locations: Company headquarters and PV GAS PIPE Factory. Wherever we go, the meeting atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The fair displays a lot of clean and beautiful clothes for people to choose from. PV GAS PIPE officers, representatives of the Trade Union of units, Youth Union and PV GAS Women's Union, and benefactors accompanied to visit, give Tet gifts, and give Chung cakes...
In summary, the Program gave 150 gifts to poor households, disadvantaged people with disabilities and lonely elderly people in 3 localities: Go Cong town, Vam Lang town and Kieng Phuoc commune - Go Cong Dong district. The organizers also gave 16 additional gifts to the security forces; 23 gifts, each equivalent to 200,000 VND for disabled aunts and uncles in wheelchairs who sell lottery tickets and others who are still in difficulty. Everyone received the gifts with joy and warmth like a Tet reunion. The program also expressed the wish for people to have good health, try to escape poverty, and live a prosperous and happy life.
Promoting the tradition of PV GAS "For a better community", PV GAS PIPE is determined to campaign more strongly so that golden hearts have the opportunity to accompany, continue to organize annual programs, and spread love to fellow citizens.
