On August 22, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Forbes Vietnam organized the 2024 Business Forum with the theme "Leading the trend". The event featured the Honor Ceremony of "Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in 2024", marking the 12th time Forbes Vietnam awarded certificates to excellent businesses. Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) is proud to be one of the few businesses to maintain this title for the past 12 years.
The 2024 Business Forum brings together experts and senior leaders from leading companies to discuss the prospects for business recovery after the tumultuous period of the past two years. In the first part of the event, experts shared opinions and identified opportunities for businesses and the Vietnamese economy in the context of new technology waves, especially after Vietnam established comprehensive strategic partnerships with many major economies. According to experts, despite temporary difficulties, in the long term, Vietnam's economy is still considered a bright spot attracting international investment, playing an important role in the global production and trade chain.
Part two of the Business Forum is the ceremony of awarding medals to outstanding businesses on the list of the 50 best listed companies in 2024 voted by Forbes Vietnam.
According to Forbes Vietnam, the list of 50 best listed companies for the 12th time reflects the recovery of profits of many industry groups, although the spread is not uniform. When profits have not returned to a stable growth trajectory, the VN-Index fluctuates strongly according to the psychology and cash flow of individual investors, while exchange rates become an important factor in the stock market.
In this list, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has 5 honored units, including: Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS, stock code: GAS), Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC, stock code: PVS), PVI Insurance Joint Stock Company (stock code: PVI), PetroVietnam Transportation Joint Stock Corporation (PVTrans, stock code: PVT), and Vietnam Petroleum Power Corporation (PV Power, stock code: POW).
This event not only affirms the position of PV GAS and companies in the oil and gas, steel pipe and renewable energy industries but also creates motivation for sustainable development in the future.
