PV PIPE Trade Union Congress 2023

On April 19, 2023, the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Steel Pipe Corporation (PV PIPE) successfully organized the Company's Trade Union Congress for the term 2023-2028 and the 2023 Sports Festival to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the Company's establishment (April 26, 2010 - April 26, 2023)

On the side of the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, there are comrade Tran Xuan Thanh, Chairman of the Trade Union, comrade Le Phuoc Khoi, Member of the Standing Committee, head of the Internal Affairs Committee, representatives of specialized Committees/Office of the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation.

On the guest side, there is comrade Do Ngoc Len, former member of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor, former Chairman of the Trade Union and Deputy Director of PV PIPE Company.

As for the Party Committee, the Leadership Board of PV PIPE Company includes comrade Le Hong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, Director of the Company; comrade Le Quyet Thang, Member of the Board of Directors of the Company, comrade Nguyen Thuy Ha - Head of the Company's Supervisory Board, comrades in the Board of Directors, Youth Union of the Company. Especially, the presence of 84 delegates representing 103 Union members of the Company attending the Congress.

The Congress has heard reports from the Union Executive Board, including: summarizing the activities of the Union Executive Board for the term 2018-2023 and the direction, tasks of the Executive Board for the term 2023-2028; evaluating the activities of the Executive Board, the Inspection Committee for the term 2018-2023. Representatives of the Trade Unions, union members have contributed opinions to the Congress documents, program, objectives for the new term, especially the contents presented in the speeches at the Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Le Hong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and Director of the Company shared that the Trade Union is the center of solidarity, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, contributing to building the corporate culture of PV PIPE, and successfully achieving the business goals in recent years. Comrade also directed the tasks and goals of the Trade Union's Executive Committee for the term 2023-2028 and expressed confidence in the new Executive Committee members who will uphold the spirit of solidarity, creativity, daring to think and do, and work together towards common goals for the sustainable development of the Company.

In his directive at the Congress, Comrade Tran Xuan Thanh, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Corporation highly appreciated the preparation work of the Congress, commended and acknowledged the results of the activities, the achievements of the PVPIPE Trade Union for the term 2018-2023. He also requested the Trade Union for the term 2023-2028 to strive harder, make more efforts to accompany the Company's Leadership Board in successfully completing the assigned tasks.

The Congress has proceeded to elect the Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term consisting of 05 comrades. After the first session of the Executive Committee meeting, the Executive Committee elected the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Head of the inspection committee. Accordingly, Comrade Pham Anh Tuan was elected as Chairman of the Trade Union, Comrade Bui Dien Lam, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union and Head of the inspection committee.

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the trade union for the term 2023-2028, Comrade Phạm Anh Tuấn sincerely thanks the trust of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Company, and all trade union members of the Company. The Executive Committee will unite, strive to fulfill well the tasks assigned by superiors, and effectively implement the resolutions of the Congress.

In the traditional sports program PVPIPE 2023 organized by the Labor Union and the Youth Union of the Company, it has attracted 150 athletes to participate in competitions such as running 3000m, 5000m, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and tug of war. This is an opportunity to promote the movement of physical exercise and sports, improve health, and create a useful playground for the members and workers contributing to enhancing the spiritual life of the employees in the Company.
