Phase 2 of the Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline project includes the main packages: EPC offshore pipeline (EPC-1); EPC GPP2 plant (EPC-2); EPC onshore pipeline and stations (EPC-3); Procurement of steel plates; Steel pipe manufacturing; Pipe coating; and some other packages. Among them, the EPC offshore pipeline package (EPC-1) will be carried out by TECHNIP as one of the key packages of the project, with scope of work including: Survey, construction drawing design; procurement of equipment and materials (excluding the 26" pipes already coated with concrete provided by the Investor) and construction, installation of about 118km of offshore pipelines, 26" in diameter from the end point of Phase 1 at Bach Ho to Long Hai (EPC-1 contractor is responsible for connecting the offshore pipeline section of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project). PVPIPE and PVCoating carry out pipe manufacturing and coating for 126km of 26" diameter gas pipelines and 29.5km of 30" diameter pipelines.

The signing of the three contracts is aimed at ensuring the goal: completing the connection to the offshore pipeline section and being ready to receive the Sao Vang - Dai Nguyet gas expected in the third quarter of 2020.

The project of collecting and transporting gas from Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet also holds significant importance and urgency: This is the process of investing in building pipelines from Sao Vang compression platform connecting to the existing Nam Con Son 2 pipeline, while also connecting to the Thien Ung – Dai Hung field to collect and transport the gas production of Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet and Thien Ung – Dai Hung to the shore. It is expected that upon the completion of the project by the end of Q3/2020, around 2-3 billion cubic meters of gas will be brought to the shore, supplementing the gas source for the Southeast region. The project maximizes the existing gas industrial infrastructure of PV GAS to enhance the project's investment efficiency and offshore gas exploitation. The designed capacity of this gas collection and transportation pipeline is equivalent to 7.9 million cubic meters of gas per day.
